I.S. How to Guide – Council Chambers
Connecting
to the projector:
There are two ways of being able to have content on the
projector, either a laptop or the computer at the podium. On the West side of
Council chambers, there is a device that controls the projector/screen. To turn
it on, navigate to the power tab and press the “ON” buttons for screen and
projector. They are highlighted Green.
Next you will need to select the device you are going to
connect with. If it is a laptop, select the “Podium Guest”. If it is the Podium
PC, select the “Podium PC” option. Navigate to the “Source” tab to find these
options.
Via
Laptop:
There a wide selection of adapters that should work for most
laptops. Find the connector that you need for your laptop and plug it into your
laptop. It will most likely be HDMI which is the middle connector (Has a
trapezoid look end)
Via
Podium Computer:
The computer is located under the podium, you shouldn’t need
to access it unless if it needs to be powered on. It is located on the top of
the rack.
Logging
into the Council Chamber PC’s:
Username: Council
Password: Liberty2013
Note: If too many attempts to login occur, the account will
lock and IS will have to unlock the account.
General
Troubleshooting:
-Give the connection to the PC/Laptop a second, it can take
up to a minute or so to start projecting.
-Try replugging the cord connected to your Laptop if nothing
shows.
-Try restarting the projector.
-If no adapters work for the laptop being used, see if the
Podium PC is a possibility to use, or and contact IS to bring the required
adapter.
-If none of these options solve the problem, contact IS.
